If you are going to place your trust in me and look to me for guidance and advice with your health then I think it is important that you know a bit about me and my qualifications.
I studied a 4 year health science degree in Melbourne with the Australian College of Natural Medicine. My practice is based on Nutritional medicine, using “food as medicine”, nutritional supplements, scientifically validated herbals preparations, diet, lifestyle and exercise recommendations and encourage a rich spiritual life. I do not use homeopathy or practice energetic medicine. I am a mother of three children so I know what works and what does not work for children, and families.
I grew up on a farm adjacent to a World Heritage Listed area in South Africa: The Drakensberg Mountains.
My childhood was sheltered, innocent, muddy and full of imaginary and furry friends and always fun in a family of 7. There was not an abundance of “things” but there was an abundance of time, relationship, love, faith and home grown and prepared meals. Beef and lamb were lovingly pasture fed and raised on the farm. Every Sunday would include a family walk through the cattle, Dad was a 4th generation stockman keenly attuned to his animals, his favourite Brahman would come to his call and we would get to stroke these magnificent beasts snorting and puffing their warm breath over us. Our vegetables came from the vegetable patch, milk “raw” from the next door neighbour before it was process and eggs from my brother’s enterprise. We were not “alternative” by any means, it was just how life was on the farm: simple, unadulterated and wholesome.
I look forward to our holidays back on the farm which I share with my New Zealand husband and three Australian born children. We don’t get back often enough but we look forward to it together, to be at the foot of those mountains, surrounded by such natural beauty and magnificence and connecting with family.
My day-to-day life in Australia is filled with many blessings for which I am very grateful. But what is a quality of life without health and wellness and that includes being pain free? It is my passion and desire to help others find a better way to health. Perhaps you have never been taught up in how to care for yourself or make better health decisions, or you know but find the motivation hard. As a mother, daughter, friend, sister and wife I have had some experience in the challenges that life throws up and have been fortunate to help others through my practice: and I would love to help you find your way back to heath.
